TEAM Maine Athletics is a 501(c) Nonprofit Corporation.
The name of the corporation is TEAM MAINE ATHLETICS, duly formed and organized to Title 13-B S101 et seq., of the Maine Nonprofit Corporation Act. The provisions of these Bylaws shall govern management of TEAM Maine Athletics unless inconsistent with said statue or Articles of Incorporation.
TEAM Maine Athletics is organized primarily for charitably, eleemosynary, benevolent or conveyed to one or more domestic corporations, societies or organizations engaged in activities substantially similar to those of TEAM Maine Athletics and specifically defined as those meeting the requirements of the Internal Revenue Code section 501(c).
Its mission is to provide a positive environment through youth participation in sports so as to guide participants in building confidence, life and leadership skills, and overall positive team and community interactions.
TEAM Maine Athletics once known as the Lady Mavericks and/or Maine Hits was re-established by Amanda and Neil Carroll in 2022 with help from the Board of Directors, Friends and Family. As the decision was made to move to a 501(c) Nonprofit Organization here in Maine with a focus on developing female athletes both on the field and in life.
What started with only 2 teams in 2021 has developed in to four competitive age groups here in 2023, with the largest number of attendees at the fall tryout in club history. With the idea and/or possibility of expanding to other sports TEAM Maine Athletics has not veered from its path and focus on providing a safe, family driven environment for female athletes to develop their skills and confidence in both sport and life. While we dive into our largest year to date, we could not have done this without the support of our sponsors, family, friends and even more so those athletes and families who have trusted in us to provide the best resources we can do your daughters.
