TEAM MAINE 10u

TEAM Maine 10u took to the field this weekend in Waterville, ME for their first tournament of the 2024 campaign (All-American - Hosted by USA Softball - Maine) as a team as well as the coaching debuts for both Raylee Gilbert and Emily Carroll.

TEAM Maine started tournament play Saturday morning with a opening game win over Khaos 10u.  TEAM Maine was on fire at the plate in game one compiling 22 hits through over 4 innings.  In game number two on Sunday TEAM Maine faced a well balanced pitching match up where the the Maniacs pitcher (Turcotte) struck out 8 batters.  The game went down the final inning as TEAM Maine was trailing by two runs when the inning was started with a double up the middle by C. Shelley.  Shelley also struck out 12 over 5 innings on the mound for TEAM Maine.  In the end TEAM Maine was able to come back for a 7-6 victory.

In the Championship game TEAM Maine faced off against a Norridgewock.  The game was a battle of the elements as rain fell for nearly the entirety.  TEAM Maine was able to hold off a tough and resilient Norridgewock team to take the win 11-4 and finish the weekend 3-0.   It was an amazing weekend and we applaud these kids and all those 10u teams whom participated this weekend.  All should be proud of the softball that was played.
